death Description: Mediumistic messages have dreadful manners. The hushed reverence of the truly great medium can fool you into believing messages are polite things, visions that soothe charm and beguile, but actually they are thugs. Merciless and tricky, the greatest messages grab you in a headlock, rough up your composure and then proceed to rearrange your sense of reality. This wasn't what you had expected, is it? There you were sitting in the theatre at one of my shows ready for a nicely measured message from a long lost loved one -- time innocently spent with the wizardry of an entertainer. Can't you just taste those custard tarts that women's husband loved? Can't you just smell the marmite, that young girl's brothers favourite? Can't you just feel that towelling dressing gown of that mans wife? No you can't? But still, nothing wrong with imagining, binging on the emotions of others, surrendering to the idea? You settle into a routine, let someone else's message come to you, walk your eye around the face that fills the big screen on the stage. But then for some reason you go off-piste, you stand up, the next thing you know is that you have a microphone in your hand, you realise this message is for you, it's your face that fills the screen, and it happens: the peculiar bit. There is something unsettling off kilter about the staggered seating, the way they seem to have got steeper? For that matter the stage itself seems to have got closer inviting a giddy slide -- a moment that never quite starts, but never quit stops either. What's going on? The people in the Theatre disappear. The theatre walls disappear. You're in the hands of the man on the stage and he's telling you things that even you had forgotten bringing up memories of people that had been locked away with the old photographs from that time. You snap out of it, concentrate on the next thing that is being said, something starts to happen, and not just the tears in your eyes. You stand dutifully before the medium something you've never quite got or seen the point of, but something deep in side begins to shift profoundly. The true power of a good mediumistic reading is that it shocks. It shakes your world reshapes the way you look at things. Forces out the bad, crams in the good, like it or not. See, bad manners, but a good heart
