Description: In 1978 in London Catholic International Students hostel /CISH -Manor House where I was staying mine and other Turkish students' best friend was a Greek student named Pantas Antonios who came to have Advanced English Language courses to be a teacher in his city Tselloniki Karperi/Serron.Hi Tony ,if you are watching me.3 years later in 1981 when I had been to Germany I saw that there were more Greeks in the Coffee Houses run by Turks than Turks and there were more Turks than Greeks in the restaurants run by Greeks.Everybody knows that Turks and Greeks become best friends in a third country.The reason is simply that we have been living togather since almost a thousand years togather and our cultures have completely melted&combined with each other.We all love our common foods which we call with same name baklava,musakka and after eating we all like to play tavla which is backgammon in English and drink the same type of coffee which we call Turkish Cofee and they call Greek Coffee  while we are listening to same music.In Turkey we have many rich Greek businessmen or singers like Fedon,Alex,Stelyo Pipis,etc. and in Greece the biggest minority group consists of Turks .A mosque built by my family in Yenice Karasu was restorated by the King of Grece in 1958 and if you have ben to the biggest street of our biggest city İstanbul named Istiklal Caddesi you have already seen there that the the biggest building and edifice of that street is the Greek Orthodox Church right on the entrance of the street.I have worked as a tourist guide and guided thousands of people from all around the world and whenever we came to that street they would be surprised and I would let them to visit the magnificient building.After Russians and Germans ,Greeks consists the number of the biggest tourist population coming to Turkey each year.It is very clear that 1 or 2 jet pilots and some opportunist cunning extremist politicians from both sides or some international weapon&gun traders can not change this fact and destroy our friendship.My last word is UNESCO has named 2007 International Year of Rumi because His doctrine advocated unlimited tolerance, positive reasoning, goodness, charity and awareness through love.
