CHILLY WINDS
Chorus:
I'm goin' where them chilly winds don't blow. Gonna find a true love. That is where I want to go.
Out where them chilly winds don't blow.
Sing your song, sing it soft and low. Sing it for your baby and then I'll have to go. Out where them chilly winds don't blow
Wish I was a headlight on a west bound train. I'd shine my light on cool Colorado rain
Out where them chilly winds don't blow.
If you're feelin' lonely, if you're feelin' low. Remember that I loved you more than you will ever know.
Goin' where them chilly winds don't blow.
(Chorus)
I'm leavin' in the springtime, won't be back till fall. If I can forget you, I might not come back at all.
Out where them chilly winds don't blow. (Repeat twice)

All the images, except the train and ice-snow shots are from Colorado-mountains, valleys, River and lakes. The "Chilly Winds group members photographs are from their website. Thanks to Jim Moran for the John Stewart version of Chilly Winds.
I received an email from Scott McKenzie who wrote:
I was with John Phillips and John Stewart when they wrote "Chilly Winds" in Sausalito, CA ... it must have been in 1961. At John's memorial I sang tenor with Stewart on "Chilly Winds," just as I had done with both of them when they had first completed the song.
Great song and a great story still being told today in many ways.
