Description: This video depicts two related glitches, the infinite sword and hover glitches.To perform the infinite sword glitch, find a grabbable, checkable, talk-to-able, or openable object (such as a sign, bomb, or chest). Get in position so that the A button says grab, check, talk or open. Then crouch down with R and press B rapidly. While doing that, press A repeatedly. If done correctly, your sword whould leave a white trail. If you do the glitch off a grabbable or openable object, your sword will be put away. To draw it without losing the glitch, backflip and pull out the sword as shown. Since the Great Fairy Sword and Deku sticks are not swung when drawn, they can be drawn normally and not deactivate the glitch.The sword glitch prevents you from walking off ledges, which can be useful if you need to walk carefully along a narrow ledge, and it is this mechanism which causes the hover glitch. Further, the sword glitch is lost if you take damage, swing your sword, crouch down to shield, enter water, grab a ledge, activate a cutscene, ground jump, or leave the area.If you do this glitch off a bomb (as shown in the video), you will need to work quickly to prevent the damage of the bomb from negating the glitch. If you get the glitch to activate quickly, you can ust throw the bomb away and run. However, if you aren't quick enough, you will need to use a different method. Continue holding R and press Z as soon as Link puts his sword away. Continue holding both R and Z until the bomb explodes. Then release R, then Z. If you do not do it in that order, Link will crouch and the glitch will be lost.The primary use of the sword glitch is the hover glitch. The hover glitch is performed by shielding some hit while sidehopping/backflipping with the sword glitch active. Although any enemy can be used, bombs and bombchus are preferred because they can be used anywhere and are player controlled. To perform it with a bombchu, sidehop/backflip, pull a 'chu, and press R to drop it and shield the blast simultaneously (as shown). To perform it with a bomb, pull a bomb and wait. Right before it explodes, press and hold R to drop it, then sidehop/backflip while holding R to shield the blast.If you are hovering up from the ground, you must make your second backflip come as soon as you can after the first one, or else you will fall back to the ground. If you are hovering up against a wall, you must pull and shield the bombchus immediately after backflipping to prevent them from crawling away.These tricks also works in Ocarina of Time, albeit by a slightly different method for the hover glitch.I have no idea what's up with the sound.
