changer Description: Hi. Read this first before you make a stupid comment (like 'ZOMG U SUCK').It took me some time (and some skittles btw) to capture every little Halo 2 sound effect and put in on the right place in the Halo 3 Beta leaked Last Resort (Zanzibar remake) video. Just for fun. :P This is made by me just because the real video didn't had any sound. So if you find another video with this audio, worse quality and/or the credits cut away at the end, you know its mine original work. :) I did not capture the real Beta video, of course. XD It's the 'real' Beta, not the Public Beta we all played. The first thing you hear is a little mixed Halo 3/Star Wars song I made for another video, but never used. When the game starts, you're hearing the old familiar 'Slayer'. I captured me walking on Zanzibar as the background-sound for the entire movie. You can also hear the other guy who picked up a BR. When walking up the stairs, I took a different background walking-sound (this time its 'metal', normally its just 'stone'). In the base, the guy lands and you hear the sound when jumping on grass (all the sound is taken from the Halo 2 game's Zanzibar map). The sounds stopped when the player (me) was jumping. The sound next to the generator is the sound of Zanzibar, next to the generator. When he picked up the Bubble Shield you're hearing a grenade-tag sound. When the BS is actived, you're hearing a standard-sound of the iMovie database (1 of the 1000 others lol). I thought this one matched pretty good with the BS in the CGI-trailer. The AR-sound is just a SMG with a pitch change (its a little bit 'lower'). The explosives sounds were all grenades-explosives. The Spartan Laser was a Sentinel Beam, the No-shield was just H2's No-Shield (just like the regenerator-time) and the BR was just a BR. the respawn-sound was Halo 2's respawn sound, I don't no if its the same (who does? ;P). The Brute Spiker sound (when picked up) was a very 'high' Battle Rifle sound (pitch is changed again). The AR was just a part of a SMG opening with pitch changer. A BR-zoom sound and the Spartan Laser was a Sentinel Beam, again (this time with 'aaah' sound at the end). The blue Gravity Lift sound was taken from the Tombstone map's elevator. Sniper Rifle =Sniper Rifle, SMG = SMG and Shotgun = Shotgun. The shooting guy is just a second player shooting the first player with an SMG (actually, it was just me controlling both controllers). You're hearing a Small BR reload at the end as a AR reload, right before the grenade. The BR-zoom-part is taken in 3 parts. Fake AR-reload, again. The Sniper Rifle pickup is taken together with a SMG replacement (thats the SMG falling down on the floor, at the same place in H2's Zanzibar). Although I thought the Warthog part and the Mongoose part was going to be pretty hard to capture, It went out pretty well (both in 2 takes). I just played the movie and played the same thing myself. The Mongoose was even more 'coincidence', since I hit a tree which turned out to be at the same place the player splattered a person XD. I hit a wall at the end, lol. The Mongoose-sound is a little 'lower' too (SMG-AR pitchdifferent is the same as Warthog-Mongoose pitchdifferent). The No-shield, both the horns (with different pitch btw), the Needler, the Sniper Rifle and the AR are added after the Warthog/Mongoose part. I hit a ghost twice when the player was hitting the wall. The '5 Minutes remaining' (just like the 'Lost the Lead', 'Tied the Leader' and 'Game the Lead') is taken from a 6 minutes H2 game on Lockout, else you would hear some water-effects. I added 3 AR-sounds and a Beat down, together with a slow grenade. The Spartan Laser is a Plasma Pistol and a Sentinel Beam. At the end, the other guy was charging up his shield.Bye bye. ^_^ Oh, this is the updated version btw, with the Game Over etc (and the sound is a .2 seconds earlier for YouTube, because Flash and .mov are no friends when it comes to audio-video timeline). The sound is a little bit too early, as you may have seen in the Grenades and the BR.Oh yeah, for everyone who thinks the AR sounds just like the SMG, listen to the new Halo 3 sound (just search for 'Halo 3 Assault Rifle') and the old Halo CE sound (search for 'Halo CE Assault Rifle'). You'll notice that the Halo 3 sound is more like the SMG then Halo CE's Assault Rifle. I changed the pitch as well.
