Description: Footage shot of the KLF performing live at a rave near Chipping Norton, Saturday 1st October 1989. The start of the footage would appear to be taken at Jimmy Cauty's Trancentral squat, in Stockwell, South London. You can see Bill Drummond saying 'and we're ... we're unripping them (the ripped off kids)' while Jimmy fiddles with keyboards and samples (a sample later used by the Orb can be heard). Then there is footage, taken I think in a van, of Bill looking at a road map to find Chipping Norton ('we're going by my house' he says - presumably a reference to Aylesbury). Also featured (with red hair) is Cressida Cauty, Jimmy's wife, who can be seen during the rest of the film, too. They show a refuse bag full of £1 notes. Legend suggests they are Scottish pounds with 'CHILDREN WE LOVE YOU' written on them, but the footage is not clear enough to see. Then we cut to the rave (with 'Pacific State' booming away somewhere) and Bill and Jimmy atop a tower with a giant disco ball hanging from it. As they start with 'Jersualem' (later featured on 'Waiting' and 'It's Grim Up North') people shout to 'pump it out' (bad sound?) and then they start playing the 'Pure Trance' 'What Time is Love?' During this performance (with Jimmy playing a keyboard that appears to be hanging vertically over the tower, and Bill drinking a can of beer in his Martin Bormann jacket) Cressida (in the red KLF jumper) shouts 'Free money! Free money!' and the KLF let the pound notes descend upon the crowd. There's then a brief snippet of them perfoming '3 AM Eternal' (including the 'Blue Danube' sample of the Orb remix) before the tape finishes. Apparently, a couple of years later, when they were at their commercial peak, the KLF were always offering this film to Channel 4 chucking-out-time TV show 'The Word', in lieu of a live performance. But the film was never shown. It did, however, leak onto the internet a few years ago.
