Dis Grace By Timothy Gnow im easy [eric bogle+lyrics
You'd think in an age when we're all being told to cut back energy use, water use (due to the drought), warnings about the greenhouse effect and climate change, and the threat of "peak oil", and reduce our burden on the environment, they still have the gall to describe our ever-increasing population as "merrier". How irresponsible is that??The news item, shown on National Nine News on 4/12/2007, blames half of the growth on immigration. Think about it — the other half would account for the birth rate AFTER our death rate is deducted, and it has been in the news more than once that we are suffering our worst "baby boom" since 1971. Treasurer Costello's "baby bonus" doesn't help things either.Despite its large land size, Australia can only support so many people due to its dry climate and vast desert regions (thereby limiting our water supply).
