Christmas Don't Be Late byEagles Christmas by Amazing Ch
Christmas Light controller designed and built by Jeff Theusch and Kevin Fritz as part of an Electrical Engineering Final project in the Micro-computer Architecture class. This method uses software written in VB.net that allows the user to sequence a light show for any MP3 file and then encode the instructions in the audio file. A digital communcations technique known as on-off keying is used for embedding the light sequence in the song as a serial signal. A series of active BPF's, a detector diode, and LPF and op-amp convert this signal back to being a serial signal at TTL voltages. A Altera UP1 board was then programmed to interpret this signal and instruct Solid-State Relays to enable at the appropriate time in the sequence.
