Men and women comment, 'what is a REAL WOMAN?'The story:A few months ago i was scouted to be put forward to be in the Dove advertising campaign. I didn't think i was right for the campaign but the thought "well, why not?" I was chosen with 99 others to audition. They were looking for a final 30 women. I was skepital as i am skinny and 6 foot tall, usually Dove use woman with e.g, curves ...which is really beautiful. I was really excited to audition as i wanted to show people that skinny size 8/10 girls still have cellulite, spots, curves, boobs, scars etc etc...being skinny doesn't equal perfection. Nobody is perfect.Anyway, today i found out i didn't get in to the final 30. I only told 3 people that i had been shortlisted, so now i can talk freely as i didnt get picked. In this video i am thinking about the whole 'Real Women' issue. In particular, if you are 6 foot/skinny are you not a real woman??? I have more on this subject to come as i want to address peoples perceptions on body image etc,..I am not size zero because a size zero in UK sizes would be a 4. i am a UK size 10. I am 6 foot. I am happy the way i am, i have always been thin and i take care of myself.
