Displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Jericho Freeman (Robert's cousin) and his family move in with Robert and the boys. As a result, Robert does whatever he can to get rid of them as quickly as possible. While walking in the neighborhood with Robert, Jericho tells him that his insurance didn't cover the damage to his home and that he couldn't find work reconstructing the city despite being in the construction business (illegal Hispanic immigrants took up all the reconstruction jobs). As a result, he and his family are waiting to receive a check from FEMA. Grandad try to get rid of Jericho and his family by taking away the electricty, air conditioning and water. He also pretends there is hurricane coming. Nothing seems to have any effect on Jericho and his family. Finally, the FEMA check came. Jericho acts like they did not receive the check when they really received a check of $200,000. Huey suggests they return back to New Orleans and Jericho's family agrees to return.
