Robin Thicke - Would that makeRobin Rogers (track 1) at Fox
The sources of these clips are from the episode Ginyu Assault, one take is taken from the respective 2000 DVD, and the other from the recently released Season Three set.I made this incase anyone wanted to compare the old dub with the new one. Sadly, the 1999 dub is NOT on the second or third season sets' Bruce Faulconer music track. Too bad, I kind of wanted it for nostalgia reasons, since the Ginyu Assault DVD is the only one I have of the 1999 dub. But I digress...Chris Sabat has redubbed every line of Vegeta and some have been changed, usually for the better. Lines like "Mr. Hot Pants" have been removed. However, the infamous "mondo cool" line remains for some odd reason. Weirdly enough, Piccolo has not been redubbed whatsoever. I found that odd, seeing as nearly all of the characters Sabat voices (Which is a lot) have been redubbed for the most part.Sean Schemmel has NOT redubbed any of his characters (Goku, King Kai, Nail) after the 1999 dub begins, and it's a pretty noticeable difference listening to it nowadays.Sonny Strait has redubbed his voice for Krillin in the new season set. Why, I don't know, I never really saw a problem in the 1999 dub. Oh well, not like it matters. Also, Brice Armstrong reprises his Dragonball Z: Budokai role as Captain Ginyu, taking the former place of the classic "monster truck announcer" Dale Kelley.I should stop rambling and just let the clips speak for themselves. Also, I don't mind the widescreen cropping much. I just want to hear the dub with the original music. The "remastering", while looking pretty nice for the most part, can get really ugly when there is flashing or shaking involved. A real shame how carelessley these were handled, but for $30 each, I feel it's a "you get what you pay for" deal.
