Kurt Cobain "Opinion" (solo acoustic)
This is a video I put up of the now deceased, troubled genius rock star, Kurt Cobain. The song is an acoustic home demo Kurt made in 1990, called Opinion. It is found in the "With the Lights Out" box set; which was Nirvana's last jewel. This album is beautiful and remains unkown among many souls, containing an incredible mix of genres (rock, punk, psychedelic, grunge) within its former unreleased songs.Though it's pretty short, I hope this video stays in the heart and soul of all of you, Nirvana lovers. You are all too many for me to name, but if you feel this passion and almost brotherly relationship with the songs and yet remarkable lyrics, like I do, you will undoubtfully find yourself within this group.Unlike any other persons in the planet, Cobain, Grohl and Novoselic have flawlessly depicted a whole generation, one which grew with countless complications and has abounding troubles yet to confront. It may take rather precious time to find out the meaning behind all Nirvana's words, sometimes even years of listening the deep shouts of frustration within the great, eloquent and affecting songs. I have finally found a reason to these afflicted words, and for the first time in my lifetime, they have touched me in a way which a person with an illiterate knowledge and unawareness of the ecstasy within Nirvana's songs, wouldn't imagine.Kurt never brought up the commendable side of humanity within his lyrics, but instead, he brought the dark side of a whole generation to life; those things that people had been hiding within their souls for years were at last, described. The lyrics can be assimilated, though not easy, but if one percieves the idea that is hidden within words, what will finally come up to life as a final but rather sad and shameful message, is the fact that drugs, sex, technology, the people's ambition and the human nature have "fucked up" a whole generation like no other thing on the planet.Peace, love and empathy.
