So now psycho Derek is gone and on the loose and poor Peyton can't sleep. But Lucas, being the great guy he is, goes and finds Peyton's real brother on his base to talk to her and help her, cause Lucas can't seem to do so himself. So the real Derek helps her over come her fears and realize she can get through it and past it.
