Taciturn Evil Heart: A Resident Evil Retelling [Part 001]
Resident Evil/Biohazard(バイオハザード) are registered trademarks and intellectual property of Capcom. The following video is "Taciturn Evil Heart"--an artistic attempt at retelling, in this first part (more depending on its reception), the July 23 and 24 1998 S.T.A.R.S. Alpha and Bravo teams' fateful investigation of the grisly murders found in the Arklay Mountains region outside Raccoon City. This video is also my FIRST, and you know that humble beginnings usually can leave a lot to be desired. (So I'm sorry if this sucks, lol!) The video's story progression relatively mirrors the game's proceedings. It is important to remember that I have implemented flashbacks that interrupt the normal flow of the story, as well as flashFORWARDS that function as premonitions/foreshadowing of future parts of the storyline. If something seems out of place chronologically, than that was intended as a flashback or flashforward and the video should "right itself" to continue the story as it was before. For easier reference, just bear in mind that this video ends with a flashback. The *real* end of Part 001 concludes with Jill Valentine's encounter with an enemy as simultaneously Chris Redfield, who was separated from the team earlier, discovers an object missing its owner abandoned in an action that seems anything but accidental...Hopefully this video will make sense to people who have played the games regardless of the lack of linearity of the narrative. Sorry everyone! I understand and apologize for any likely confusion as to the structure of the video. For questions pertaining to programs or songs used, please endure the credits (and there is a lame Easter egg to be found for the patient viewer as well). In any event, I welcome and would love any feedback or comments! Feel free to message me, which I look forward wholeheartedly to. Please (try to) enjoy! Thank you for watching![EDIT 10/12/07:] I don't know if it's just my computer that's the problem, but please allow the video to fully load first before playing it. The video when uploaded didn't chug, so if it doesn't seem very streamlined allow for it to fully load. I think.
