Cass and Frankie banter over their breakfast. Frankie is surprised at how Cass's eating habits have changed, since he used to live on foie gras and champagne cocktails. He tells her that she changed him, and she makes him look at life from a whole new perspective. When Cass starts kissing her neck, Frankie laughs and says she's trying to remember if he was always this insatiable. Cass replies that they haven't made love in almost a year, and men don't like that, you know. When Cass says he never, ever wants that to happen again, Frankie teases that Cass found celibacy that difficult, huh? Cass says he's not kidding. "I can't even imagine life without you anymore," he tells Frankie. Frankie says she's glad he knows that now. Cass says he knows he blew it with the Kathleen test, and Frankie says it wasn't a test. Cass says whatever it was, it'll never happen again. Frankie tells Cass that he doesn't have to prove anything to her. She thinks he had to prove to himself that what he felt was the real thing. "Which is what you did when you went to Peru, right?" Cass says. "Right," Frankie replies. "It doesn't matter where it happens--""Just as long as the realization occurs," Cass finishes. Frankie says she's impressed, and Cass replies that he learned from the master. Then he brushes her hair off her forehead and tells her how much he loves her and asks if he can tell her that every five minutes, and she says sure. Cass kisses her, then asks her what's the matter and brushes her hair off her forehead again. She says that she's been dreaming of them making love for months, and for all of those months, she would remember the last time, when they were in their house. Cass asks if that's what scared her, and she says yes. Cass says, "We'll never lose each other again, I promise you that, Mary Frances." Then with a smile he tells her to look at the bright side: they have adventures to plan, places to go, people to see. "The best is yet to come," he says, and by now Frankie is smiling too. "We have the rest of our lives to create memories for our children, and our children's children. Would you like that?""Cass," Frankie says with a smile. "I mean it, Frankie. I want to marry you," Cass says as he gazes into her eyes. "Will you do it? Will you be my wife?" Frankie touches her forehead to Cass's. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
