Eyewitness Gives Account of WWII Bomber Crash
Nikola Tomic gives his personal account at the site of the crash of the B-17G Bomber shot down by Nazis on July 7, 1944 when he was ten years old. The bomber crashed about 1 kilometer from his farm in Hum Vocinski, Croatia, near the border of Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina. We couldn't search the site, as there are likely still mines there left over from the war from 1991-1995. Ljubo Kutkganovic, the physical education teacher from the city of Vocin, translates Nikola Tomic's account in the background. The crew members that were killed in action on July 7, 1944, included:2nd Lt.
