The traffic lights they turn red and green tomorrow.HISTORICAL NOTEGodard's "One + One" was still fresh in my mind when I learned that the Rutgers Film Club was planning a festival. Participants would receive two rolls of film and get two day's use of the club's Bolex. I knew I would have only limited access to a Moviola so I planned to shoot as much as possible in sequence. Halfway through the shoot the Bolex jammed. Terrified, I opened it under my shirt, rethreaded the film and continued shooting. The double images and light bursts that resulted are now a part of the film. It would be a different film without these scars but whether it would be a better film I can't say.
