Chris Daughtry concert
On March 23rd, Chris Daughtry and his band performed a free concert in Greensboro, NC. They also recorded a video for their single "Home" during this concert. My friends, Jessica and Michelle went with me. We got there around 6:30pm; gates were supposed to open til 7pm, but when we got there they were already open, so we hurried to get as close as we could. There were throngs of people pushing and pushing to get down near the stage, and what was really bad was the people who kept cutting in front of everyone. We finally stood our ground and refused to move. The opening band, Athenaeum, went on at 8pm, and they were ok; I had not heard alot of their stuff, but other people had, and they had a good sound. Unfortunately, they didn't get much respect or attention, because everyone was too excited to see Chris Daughtry. Plus, since we all had been standing for hours, we were getting tired, HOT, thirsty, and our feet hurt (There was no way you could sit anywhere, especially since we were packed in like sardines, and there was lots of drunk people, people throwing up, and people trying to knock you down). BUT, when Chris came out, all was well with the world. Chris put on a great show-- rocked the house, and kept everyone entertained. He is so hot he makes my teeth sweat, and he sure can sing. I thought Michelle was going to have to be mopped up when we left. Jessica, Michelle and I had a great time, even while getting shoved and run over. I kept the jokes coming, and had a lot of fun embarrassing Jess. The last photo was taken at Rum Runners, which is where we ended up after the concert... if for nothing else, than to have something cold to drink and sit down.
