Jin and Kou exchanged furious punches and kicks, neither tiring, but both sustaining damage. Finally, Jin asked:Jin: How do you know... about what's going on?Kou: A man... showed me... He showed me... everything.Jin could already tell where this was going.Jin: I think I know... who you're talking about.Kou: Oh? And who is that?Jin: The man... He wore a large cloak, and you could not see his features... could you?Kou looked rather surprised.Kou: How did...?A voice answered.???: It was all a part of my plan.They turned to find the cloaked figure floating in midair, somehow keeping pace with the train. Jin fixed his posture.Jin: I think it's finally time you told us who you are.He heard the man chuckle. As he spoke his next words, his voice began to split, as if more than one were coming from him at once.???: I go by many names. In the end, I still represent the same thing. The eternal peace that all life shall find whether they seek it or not.The figure lifted a card to his face. They couldn't see it clearly due to how far he was from them, but it quickly grew in size. It grew 'till it masked the figure altogether, and, then, it began to spin. The first rotation revealed the man to no longer be there. After a few seconds, they saw a figure that no living human could mistake.???: I am the harvester of souls, guide to the dead, and he who you shall meet when your times come to an end.A large scythe materialized and floated next to him.Death: I am Death.Death then let out an inhuman laugh. Both Jin and Kou could not believe their eyes. Kou was nervous. Jin was angry.Death: There's nothing special about you, Jin. You just had the will to gather what I needed in order to set the stage for the summoning. You were not the only one eager to summon the Shar-Makai into your world.Jin: What?!?Death: The only difference between you and the others is that -they- wished to control them. -They- only wished for the power of the Shar-Makai.Jin was starting to piece things together.Jin: So, you went about our world, convincing others to prepare the ritual?Death: You're close. I would have never been satisfied with just your world.Jin: -Just- our world?Death let out another chuckle.Death: You mortals really have no comprehension of the Multiverse. Your world is not the only. I visited many worlds, convincing misguided souls to unleash the Shar-Makai.Jin: And what did you hope to do with all of that?Death: The Shar-Makai are more than just your average demon. They have the ability to rip holes in worlds. In short, they were freed so that they would rip holes in between the many worlds, thus linking them all together.Jin: And what would that have done?Death: You mortals were never quite capable of accepting one another. With the new worlds open, new powers would form. Conquest and war would erupt into a scale far beyond what has ever been seen in any world. The fighting would bring about darkness, destruction, and chaos unto the Multiverse.Jin: And what would you plan to do with such a screwed up existence?!? How would you even manage to control it?!?Death chuckled.Death: That is none of your concern. You have served your purpose very well, Jin. I was hoping to use you more in the future, but I suppose you would never have ammounted to much more. I shall grant you the honor of personally being brought to rest by myself. Enjoy the afterlife.With these words, Death sent his scythe spiraling towards Jin. Jin jumped out of the way.Jin: You're gonna have to do more than that to kill me.As he focused his attention on Death, the scythe began to spiral back towards him. Kou saw this.Kou: Watch out!Kou tackled Jin onto the ground, the scythe cutting off a few strands of Kou's hair before returning to Death.Death: Oh?Kou got off of Jin and helped him back up. Jin looked at Kou curiously, but Kou had his eyes fixed angrily on Death. Jin knew what he was thinking. They worked themselves into their own stances.Death: Do you actually believe you can defeat me?Death let out a maniacal laugh.Death: Oh ho ho, that is -very- amusing!Suddenly, his voice became very grim.Death: But I suppose you can join him, too, Kou.Saying this, Death began to move to his right. As he did, another Death split away from him, forming its own scythe as it came into existence. They both spoke at once.Death: I shall show you the true pain and pleasure of death!---------------------At first, I did this match against only one Death. He had more attack power than he normally would, since it was a two-on-one fight, but it wasn't very exciting. So, I tried a two-on-two and started getting my ass handed to me. My bro finally told me that his scythe is technically a high attack, and that blocking while crouching wouldn't work.
