Regu A - Rayuan Pulau Kelapa/Bengawan Solo (Amplitude 2007)
Amplitude 2007 is a combined halls choir/a cappella concert, also featuring NUS Choir, Resonance and Regu A (an indonesian group - they're quite good heh) sometime in March. Our theme is "Amplify Your Attitude" - directed at the general crowd in terms of their attitude towards choral and a cappella music.-acapellamusic.blogspot.com, 21 February 2007-The climax of the evening centered around the performances of two very different and modern bands. Regu A, a sophisticated four-man band used rich, syrupy harmonies to weave old favorites such as "Bengawan Solo" into upbeat, 'pop' compositions to beautiful effect. The love the performers clearly had for their country was infectious and moving and showed-off Indonesia's rich tradition beautifully.-NUSSU The Ridge, March 2007-There was also guest a capella group Regu A, one of Indokustik winning groups. I don't know about them, but they're really very good and I enjoyed it a lot. Of course this is the part when the girl beside me started her clap-hand-shake-head ritual.Glad that Regu A ended the night. Cheered me up considerably.-Rwirte.blogspot.com, 18 March 2007-Regu A gave us addictive disco tunes from the 70s, and a rendition of "Rayuan Pulau Kelapa", a song about Indonesia's natural beauty as a tropical paradise. All in all, they topped off a night for all audiophiles and choral aficionados to remember.-Kent Ridge Hall Portal, April 2007-
