Game 4 Panthers Vs Broncos-I(Henderson team)NYS 2007 LASVEGAS Fall LeagueBright and early last saturday, our 'Boys in Teal' played their 4th game in the NYS League against the Henderson Broncos-I. This time around with Coach BJ "The Pastor" leading the team in their hunt for the Panther team's 3rd straight victory shutout had another hard fought battle ahead of them. The Panthers opponent, the Broncos-I was one of the toughest teams in this seasons league. Loosing to DesertHeat by only 1 point during their last game, the Broncos-I started showing-off their stuff to the Panthers by executing sharp plays and great counters to our Panthers offense. DD" caught a pass and almost made a touchdown breaking 2 tackles but fell short 2 yards of the endzone. Nevertheless, It was another scoreless game on this game's first half(Whoaa..DEJAVU'...didn't I just say that on the Panthers previous game). After much ecouragement and words from the coaches during the half-time break, our boys went in the 2nd half and started to make things happen. It all began with big Johnny "Slim" flushing out the Broncos QB/HB and putting enough pressure for an interception by Tyson "KEY PLAYER" which started the momentum rolling. The ref called clipping on "DD" on this same play and brought the ball back 20 yards (note: on the slow mo you can clearly see that it was not clipping) Anyways ... moving on, Panthers offense moved the ball downfield till they got close enough to run it in for a touchdown. No extra point. With approx 10 min left on the game clock, The Panthers team stopped the Broncos'kick return at mid-field.Eventually, the Broncos-I ran out of time as Coach Charles and the Boys In Teal countinously hinder the Broncos running game and broke up the pass plays in the Broncos' REDZONE. Awsome job PANTHERS!!! GAME Highlights: Tyson was all over the field with an interception+7 tackles, Jeremy scored for a touchdown and also saved a kickreturn(2 tackles). Malik shutdown the Broncos offensive run(6 tackles). Dominick caught 2 beautiful pass plays and ran what was an almost-touchdown 2yards short and gaining much needed yards(8 tackles +2 sacks). Alex(3tackles), Tank(5 tackles), Miles(5 tackles +1 sack),D' Andre(6 tackles+ 1 sack),lil'John-john (4 tackles), Big Johnny "Slim"(2 tackles+ an almost sack that made the interception happen),Ryan(3 tackles).Final score Panthers-6 and Broncos-0. It was another SHUTOUT Game bringing the Panthers record to 3wins and 1 loss for the season. Mr Miyagi would be proud. Great job coaching BJ... sorry Manny but you just got knocked down for the "Best Offensive Coach Award"...lol Quote of the day... one of the Panthers kids(Tyson-KEY PLAYER) asking Coach.."
