Slipknot was the song which we now know as (SIC). But this is the MFKR Version.MFKR was released on Halloween (31st Oct) 1996. The band Slipknot was formed by Shawn Crahan, (he was the original Drummer before Joey joined) the vocalist Anders Colsefini and the Bass Guitarist Paul Gray. The members when MFKR was recorded were:Anders Colsefini -- Lead Vocals Donnie Steele -- Lead Guitar Josh Brainard -- Rhythm Guitar Backup VocalsJoey Jordison -- Drums Shawn Crahan -- Percussion, Backup Vocals Paul Gray -- Bass, Backup VocalsCraig came along and played in live perfomances, although he didn't actually record any of the album he is still credited for doing so (same with Mick). Donnie quit and Mick replaced him.But they needed a new vocalist. They believed Ander's voice wasn't "radio-friendly", so they got Corey Taylor to join and took over the vocals. They asked Anders to do Backup Vocals and Tribal Percussion but he got bored of the idea and left publically. So the line-up was:Corey Taylor-VocalsMick Thompson-Lead GuitarJosh Brainard-Rythym GuitarPaul Gray-BassJoey Jordison-Lead DrumsShawn Crahan-Percussion, Backing VocalsCraig Jones-Samples/Sound Director/Media/KeyboardsJosh Brainard recorded all of Slipknot songs from MFKR to the Self-Tilted Album. (Apart from Purity.) Where it said in the booklet of Slipknot it says Mick and James Root did guitars. But it was actually mick and josh. You will also find that its not James on the cover of Slipknot (on Corey's Right) it is infact Josh Brainard who is standing next to Corey.When Slipknot was released, Josh left and James Root joined.
