How to Save a Life Music Video
Written, produced, and directed by meA student music video on 'How to Save a Life' by The Fray. All copyrights regarding the song belong to them; I don't pretend to own any part of the song. This was done as an independent student video project to keep my grade in my video production course. Cast was kept inside the production team (which really was only three people). Production lasted about four days throughout the course of two weeks. Editing (which was actually experimental at first, to play with digital lighting to bounce of the production lighting) took three days, and one very long night-edit (which resulted in red eyes, an hour of sleep, and a very satisfied me).The story revolves around a boy caught in a tunnel of the imagination, where he is encountered by a clock on the wall. This clock on the wall, however, pertains a certain higher power over itself, allowing the main character to relive select past events in his life, leading up to the climax that he has already lived through and an understanding of a different person's point of view ultimately leading up to a gradual change of heart.HTSAL endeavors the subconscious, the unknown, and the heart. Sometimes dealing with the past isn't half as hard as having to relive it.
