RAEFORD, North CarolinaNovember 2007Police Chief Kevin Locklear was charged with upholding the law in Raeford when he became chief of police in 2004. But now he's charged with breaking it.Locklear was arrested Tuesday afternoon on charges of assaulting his wife, Earlina Locklear. Court records indicated he went to her home and refused to leave. Arrest warrants also stated he pushed her down and caused her to hit her head twice on the cement.Locklear, 41, faces three criminal charges: assault on a female, domestic criminal trespassing, and injury to personal property. All are misdemeanor offenses.
