While We Can (by Iraqi boy band UTN1)
While We Can (by Iraqi boy band Unknown To No One)In early 2006, while UTN1 resided in London, two of the band members journeyed back to Iraq. They were deeply struck by the affects of war and what it had done to their homeland. Upon their return to Europe, they were inspired to write a song about the war - promoting hope and peace in a time of ultimate devastation(Although they spent all their lives in Iraq during three wars)."While We Can" is a message about changing one's perspective, respecting one another, ending the violence, and beginning to rebuild our lives.Band Members:Artin HaroutiounianShant GarabedianNadeem HamidHassan Ali Al-FallujiAkhlad RaofLyrics of "While We Can":In a time of war,in a time of devastation, when you seek the lightand you're longing for salvationbut it seems so far and it feels so dark, all you see is a blur. In a time of guilt,in a time of wasted years, nothing more than hateand never ending fearscontrols your mind, takes away your pride, nothing seems to be spared. If you're looking for some hopeand searching for a better life, you can have it if you want it,but what will you sacrifice.Love's the key to set us free, why can't you understand. Let's change it while we can. We were lost sometimes, seemed our lives had gone in vainand the dreams we had, were replaced by the pain.I couldn't breathe sometimes,I couldn't hold back the tears.Something's broken inside.
