We packed up the campsite and said goodbye to the sound of nature on day 9. We were off to Great Falls Montana. But Jim again had another 'shortcut' to save 30 miles. Yeah - and we spent another THREE hours or more dodging holes, cliffs and curves as we drove UP and OVER three mountains on a dirt road no wider than our van. But it was VERY pretty! We found a very beautiful waterfall right along side the road and lakes that were so clear and calm at the top of one of the mountains. We finally got to Great Falls around supper time, found the Holiday Inn and went swimming. In the morning we hit the road for home and Jim was VERY happy to see the flatness of the prairie again. We stopped by Grandma's in Assiniboia on the way home, bored her with our pictures (much like we have you if you've gotten this far) and just after midnight we settled into our own beds after one of the best holidays we've ever had! And one we will definately do again someday!
