Its that time of the year. I made a trip to the Japanese immigration office in Shinagawa in order to renew my visa and ensure that I don't get deported! It was a generally painless process except for the fact that it is about an hour trip each way and all together the fees totalled about $100. I was a little worried this year as it was my first time applying for a "Self-Sponsored Visa."
