There is a Rainbow round my Shoulder - Climax Jazz Band 1996At the many jazz festivals our Climax Band played we met many bands and musicians. We became good friends with California's Nightblooming Jazz Band. They had a darn good pianist. Paul Reid became a special friend and it became almost a logical choice to invite Paul up on the stage to join us for a few tunes. I always liked a good pianist in the rhythm group and next to the powerful playing by our banjoist Jack Vincken we found Paul with all his technique, energy and possibly force a darn good match to Jack.We hear the vocal by Len Gosling. Len also on trombone with Bob Erwig cornet, Pieter Meijers clarinet, Chris Daniels bass and Jamie Aug drums. Recorded at the 1996 St. Louis Jazz Festival.
