During the media launch of the redesigned Cadillac CTS, auto journalists were given a chance to drive the sedan on the legendary Laguna Seca race track -- what a blast! The car held its own on the course and then I got to see it really being tested by a professional driver, Kelly Collins. I just sat in the back seat and tried to hold on. Typical corners were at 75 or 80 mph. Take note when we go through the corkscrew, we were told to aim at the car at the tree on the far right. Also look for the CTS stuck in the kitty litter at the end of our lap -- the journalist had left the track, then decided to cut through to get over to the pits.
