JulyZerg vs SiLvEr @ ODT (Entire Bo3 Set)
JulyZerg vs s.s.m~[SiLvEr] @ ODT (Dual Tournament, OSL Prelims), Week-1 Day-2, April 5th 2007In case you're wondering about all these batch uploads, its just more comfortable with all the vast # of games played every day in OSL and MSL Prelim rounds, uploading them one by one would make for quite a huge number of videos and can create some confusion. Anyway I'm not going to upload all the games that are played every day, you can find them at http://teamliquid.net/tracker/ and http://www.sc2.orgGame1: Neo ArkanoidGame2: Longinus 2Game3: HitchhikerGame1- July plays Orange, SiLvEr plays BrownGame2- July plays Teal, SiLvEr plays YellowGame3- July plays Blue, SiLvEr plays OrangeZvZ is always a tough matchup to bet on, the whole game can be won in just a few seconds from one player not paying enough atention, one small mistake and its over, ZvZ games are always the shortest games of all matchups, unlike TvT which tends to get long. Just to make a point here, I remember talking to a Korean player (one of the best amateurs at the time) and he told me he had a close friend who was a progamer (can't remember the name), anyway he said the progamer (Zerg) told him about the proleague and stuff, and then they talked about whats his favorite matchup, and he said ZvZ is by far his most hated matchup. He said excellent ZvZ skills can only be developed by losing to the best progamers, over and over again, until the ZvZ instincts enter your blood :-) And to make it clear he said something in the lines of 'If a Zerg progamer would play Terran or Protoss for a few weeks, he'd probably catch up very fast and develop good skill, and if a Terran or Protoss progamer would change to Zerg he would also do well except in the ZvZ matchups which would take any progamer a very long time to get good at'JulyZerg's ZvZ is solid, he beat Child, Jy, and GGplay in the last OSL Groups, SiLvEr has a good ZvZ, he beat (Fake)YellOw and JJu recently, but he does not have July's vast experience, most people would agree JulyZerg is the favorite for this Bo3, but in ZvZ you can never be sure.SPOILERS BRLOW (Winner Interview)*************************Winner said after the game: "I was lucky. I kept on losing small battles but the opponent made a bad decision and mine was good so I was able to win. The second set played out the way I wanted it to go. I think Silver was being too impatient because I would have been in danger if he chose to be safe and defend. I really want to get into the OSL this time because I want to renew the record for the most consecutive OSL entries. I believe I am the first one."
