2008 Presidential candidate:The Missing Memo
My name is Jerry Odom, and who am I? Well I am father and a husband. I am also an American who has seen too much inaction. This inaction has brought us to a point we don't want to be and I intend to change that. I do believe in a few fundamental concepts.First, I will take immediate action during my first days to fix our biggest problems like National Security, Illegal immigration and then focus on Education and Healthcare. I am not politically driven or finically motivated and to prove that point, I offer this promise: I will donate most of my presidential salary to some type of charity, not because I am rich, I am far from it, but because you don't need that much money to provided a nice living for your family.I only want to be president to solve problems and bring us together and provide a better future for all of our children. Also, I will not leave these problems for my daughter's generation to fix. I also do not want to have to explain to her that the reason we could not solve these problems is because we as a people could not put aside our differences and come together to solve our greatest problems in our greatest time of need. As Americans we stand 300 million strong and most of us are seeking to declare independence from this current way of doing things. And I intend to give people that choice. I intend to make more positive changes than any other elected official in our history. Now I know that is a bold statement but that exactly what we need now is bold.My Name is Jerry Odom and I want to be the people's choice for the next action based, goal driven President, thank you.We should not put all our stock in the usual suspects in our political system. We need a new voice and I am that voice. I am energized and engaged and I know what needs to be done. One of our greatest minds once said. "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." --Albert Einstein "No man is entitled to the blessings of freedom unless he be vigilant in its preservation." When MacArthur said this, not only was he cutting to the core of a philosophy of government, but he was also giving us a mandate for our lives.Jerry Odom2008 Presidential Candidate "independent" To regain our independence from ineffective way doing things Info@odom2008.com www.odom2008.com
