Airwolf: 'PILOT' ("The Movie" version): Test-.
This "Movie" version of the Red Star Test-Run is slightly longer than the original CBS 'PILOT' episode cut, thanks to the inclusion of some excellent un-used 2nd Unit aerial footage (particularly the canyon Airwolf P.O.V. shots), and also, a brand new and much longer electronically synthesized music track by Sylvester Levay plays throughout the entire sequence. The radar-controlled missile optical effect blooper is eliminated in this version, and is corrected by having all 4 optical missiles flying past the aerial camera in the right direction. This cut is also very noticeably different, as it features several brand-new alternate radar and computer avionic system close-up shots, both inside the Red Star Control centre, and inside Airwolf's cockpit, as well as un-used close-up shots of the cyclic joystick being controlled by a black & grey flight-gloved hand. To extend this version of the test-run, 2nd Unit aerial stock footage, taken from the 1st Season episodes 'BITE OF THE JACKAL' and 'FIGHT LIKE A DOVE', were integrated into the cut, along with an omitted shot of regular Alex Cord (Archangel), recurring regular Deborah Pratt (Marella) and guest-star Eugene Roche (Senator Dietz), turning around to see that Airwolf had survived the 4 radar-controlled missile attack, by approaching the Red Star Control Centre afterwards.
