The "nun" is one of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulhence, a gay group of wacky folks and 'she' is there to show soldarity with trans people, like Ammiano- neither of them is trans to my knowledge.The later speakers are transgender women and men who spoke at the GLBT center after the march down Market St. I'm sorry I don't have their names rt now But I will add them when I get them from further footage. If you know them or are them write me w/ the names.This was a month after Gwen Araujo's wake pictured in the video "Rolling for Newark" Whether you like it or not some people are transgender. They have a right to live. A disclaimer: I don't like it that there are porn type sites linked to some of the videos under the keyword transgender- my 2 videos on the subject are serious and have to do with human rights, justice, and the victims of violence against people who are "different". There is nothing sexy in them. So if thats what you're after- look elsewhere. Still I need to use the word so real trans people and those who could benefit by knowing a little more about this can find the videos. So my apologies for some of the crap that is also filed under the word. I only found 3 or 4 videos under it that deal with serious problems for trans people, like being hated, or killed. This is old news but these crimes are still happening. If you think its ok to in any way hurt someone for their difference, you are sick or misguided and need counseling at the least.
