The "Seeker-Sensitive" Video
This is a "seeker-sensitive" video. This is intended to exalt and be sensitive to the ONE AND ONLY seeker: Jesus Christ who is come in the flesh; the one who has "come to seek and save that which was lost." (Luk 19:10)Many people in the modern and emergent movements claim that an empty profession of faith, akin to be of the same worth as a Sunday lunch with your friends in some cases, can "make a person reborn" simply by "their decision to come to Christ." However, Jesus says, "The wind blows where it wills, and you hear the sound thereof, but can not tell from where it came, and where it goes: so is everyone that is born of the Spirit." (Joh 3:8) It's impossible to declare a set place and time for someone to be born of the Spirit."Well, what about all the people who are seeking after God?", I hear one ask. Paul's reply is, "What then? are we better than they? No, in no way: for we have before proved both Jews and Greeks (everyone), that they ARE ALL UNDER SIN; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, THERE IS NONE THAT SEEKS AFTER GOD. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one." Sinners don't seek after God, God seeks sinners and saves them.(Rom 3:10-12) Do sinning "seekers" even exist?"Well, what about all the 'good' the 'seeker-sensitive' churches and movements?" I hear another say. How do you establish something that doesn't even exist for Paul has declared that there is none that seek after God. Jesus Christ is the seeker, and believers of Jesus are commanded to preach the Gospel, the ENTIRE Gospel in season and out. God chooses who will be saved. When you realize that, you may be more excited to pick up your Bible because then you will understand verses like, "And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and AS MANY AS WERE ORDAINED OR APPOINTED to eternal life believed." (Act 13:48)This is part of the documentary named Amazing Grace: The History and Theology of Calvinism. You can get this video either at http://www.theapologeticsgroup.com .
