Remember$325000 Commercial, Tamworth,
Arista Records AL 9509 (LP)Just going through a bunch of forgotten LPs here; some of them known, most of them left alone. There are some good tracks on these, though I'm sure they didn't get much airplay. Here's a wiki snippit: 'Hyman sang with Pharoah Sanders and the Fatback Band while working on her first solo album, Phyllis Hyman, released in 1977 on the Buddah label. When Arista Records bought Buddah, she was transferred to that label. Her first album for Arista, Somewhere in My Lifetime was released in 1979; the title track was produced by then-labelmate Barry Manilow. Her follow up album You Know How to Love Me made the R&B Top 20 and also performed well on the club/dance charts. Hyman's first solo Top Ten hit came in 1981 with Can't We Fall In Love Again, a duet with Michael Henderson.'I just learned now that she committed suicide at 45 years old. :(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phyllis_...
