Folk singers Katy Andrews and Rosemary Johnson have written a song - a song about a wild piece of land in the heart of London. Legend has it that in the 9th century King Alfred donated the land (the Lammas land) to the common people so they could graze their cattle. Eleven centuries later, that greedy ogre, Olympic Development Agency, reared its ugly head, and threatened to eat the Lammas Land. After much tussling, the might of the common people prevailed and the land was saved, though the ogre remains unslain. Hear them sing, accompanied, in celebration.
