Stay on your foot-PaintballDhany
Some on-gun footage taken at night at a paintball field called "Fun Time Square".Now, for the rest of you people who actually DO hit the "more" button...High resolution version of this video is available at http://webdog.specialopspaintball.com...The camera is a new one for me, from Pacific Concepts. You can find them at http://www.advancedtaccam.com/ At "Elite Weekend" Greg Hastings introduced me to the camera, and it's been interesting to play with. The one thing I notice, obviously, is that the camera craves light. The night footage, frankly, sucks. That being said, the cam did pretty well considering there were 3-4 spotlights on the field in total. The reason you see me going up the same side of the field constantly is that's where the lights were! The other footage came out BLACK.I mounted the camera on my Tippmann A-5A2 using a LAPCO side-mount rail. It held steady all night, much to my relief. The memory card I'm using needs to be upgraded to a 2 gigger tho before I can use this cam regularly. The microphone is somehow INSIDE the camera, and as such the sound quality you get from the camera is beyond "suck". As a "main cam" this has a lot to be desired. However, as a backup, or for people interested in a wire-free gun cam that's built to withstand paintball blasts, this is a good solution.Oh, I should mention that the sound problem is inherent to the camera, and not just because I used a loud A-5. Watch one of their test videos at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnQ5zd... and you can see it's not just me.And for those fans of Web Dog, if you both want to see the footage in a higher quality, I'll make it available on the WDR site if there is interest.Keep circulating the tapes!
