The Electronic Theatre screening at Siggraph 2006 started with a pre-show event: The World's Largest Etch-A-Sketch. All members of the audience were given a wand with two sides, one red and one green. Each side transmitted a signal, which was picked up by sensors on either side of the screen. To operate the Etch-A-Sketch each half of the theatre corresponded to one knob on the Etch-A-Sketch. For example, in order to draw a horizontal line from left to right, the whole left half of the theatre would have to wave the red side of their wand at the screen. The other half of the theatre was affecting the vertical moves.
