We have two chickens. My kids have named them Babs and Ginger, not that one of them is ginger. We got them in September 2005 and both have been laying eggs throughout the winter. Babs is a Light Sussex and Ginger a French Maran. They live in a Coop and pen at the top of the garden but wander the whole garden most days when we let them. The chickens are pretty much hassle free, clean out once a week and check the food and water every day is about it.There great to watch, pecking around, and help relieve the stress after a long day at work.I have an infrared chicken cam set up in the coop but it is turned off at the moment. Will be turning it back on for the autumn and winter.
