GLAY - MOTHER NATURE'S SON (The Beatles cover)
Cover of the great Japanese band GLAY for The Beatles' song "Mother Nature's Son", from the single "Ashes.EP".Formed by highschool students in 1988, GLAY only debuted as a major band in 1994. Since then, TERU (vocal), HISASHI (guitar), TAKURO (guitar) and JIRO (bass) have produced many top-chart hits and classic acts. The name "GLAY" comes from the English word "gray" -- a symbol of the band's music, which is a mixture of rock (black) and pop (white). Some of the highlights of GLAY's career are:* They released the 3rd best selling album in Japan, "REVIEW" (their first best-of), in 1997, selling almost 5 million copies.* In Feb. 1998, the whole Japanese telephone system broke because too many GLAY fans were trying to buy tickets for one of their concerts by phone. Because of that, Time Magazine did an article about GLAY: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/199...* GLAY did the biggest live show in Japan's history, the "GLAY EXPO '99 SURVIVAL", with a 200,000 people audience. "GLAY EXPO" had two more editions, with three lives in 2001 (total audience: 280,000 people) and one live in 2004 for their 10th anniversary as a major band (total audience: 100,000 people).More info on GLAY:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glay_%28...www.glay.co.jp
