Sos mi vida 99Waylon Jennings & Willie N
Traveling to Huaphan Province and Sam Neua is always special to me. My wife's father is Tai Daeng (Red Tai) and was born in a village north of Sam Neua near Sop Bao. On the road you pass by this incredible series of water-fed rice pounders built along a creek rushing down the side of a hill. The first part of the video explores the series of rice pounders and how they work. The second part of the video shows a tranquil scene where a group of water buffalo are being used to prepare a rice paddy for planting. And in the background a group of people are planting rice in paddies and in the foreground are two boys carrying some rice seedlings ready to be transplanted. It's only now in very rural areas do you see water buffalo being used for preparing the rice paddies. Most families now either own or have access/rent a "lot tai", something like a very large rototiller that can also be used to power a wooden cart used to carry supplies and people
