After my explorations in Niagara Falls we had crossed the border into Buffalo, an exciting experience, especially with all the cross-border shoppers from Ontario trying to get some Christmas bargains. My husband is a great Miami Dolphins fan, so I had gotten us some tickets for the Buffalo Bills. Our day and and a half in Buffalo featured mostly snowy and rainy weather, so the football game was a bit of a clammy experience. We spent two nights at the Elmwood Village Inn -- Honu House where hostess Karen Powell showed me around her exquisitely decorated guesthouse which could also act as an art gallery. Karen has carefully restored and enhanced an 1880s property which is located in one of Buffalo's most popular neighbourhoods: the Elmwood Village as a matter of fact has been designated as one of the ten best neighbourhoods in the entire United States.
