Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Rainbow / Dark Side of Oz
A long time ago, somebody figured out you could play Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" along with MGM's "The Wizard of Oz" and come up with amazing results. And it's true. The origin of the legend has faded into obscurity, but the legacy lives on. Did you know every single version out there is just a little bit different? Our version is called the "Legendary Superior Matches Edition", with good reason. The timing of the FIRST "Dark Side of the Moon" CD was based on the timing of the LP record, and when "The Dark Side of the Rainbow" thing made such a big splash in 1997, that's the way it synced up. The old way is better. Now I'm not talking radical here, the differences are very subtle. The first play through of the CD produces the exact same results you will find in most of these other versions floating around. You'll also see all of the big, sloppy matches that work no matter what later on, i.e.: "Battle of Words" when you see the sign that says "I'd turn back if I were you", and "Man with the gun" and the Scarecrow is holding a gun, etc.But in the "Superior Matches" version (and ONLY in this version) you'll see the cowardly lion sing along perfectly and gesture in time with the words "My stack", Bullshit", "Leer jet", etc. Also, he falls on his back twice in the film, the first time it's to "One day closer to death" (right on the word "death"), and the second time with "The front rank died" (right on the word "died")! As Stegokitty from The Legendary Definitive list puts it "I was quite amazed at the way it sync'd up".And we've done exactly the same thing with some other very trick combinations like "Toy Story" with Aerosmith's "Toys in the Attic", "The Exorcist" with "Black Sabbath", "Friday the 13th" with A Perfect Circle's "Thirteenth Step". It was so simple I almost fell over it: On the Cover of "The Dark Side of the Moon" there's a rainbow, and in "The Wizard of Oz" Dorothy sings "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"! We call it the "Rainbow Connection". The underground is buzzing about it already. It's pretty hard to keep something like this a secret!"Cease to Exist" letters can't stop something as cool as this... MWAH, MWHA HA HA... As my grandmother used to say "Idle hands are the devil's workshop". So when I started putting together sync movies, I silently thanked her for that inspiration. My company is called "idol hands" Entertainment, and we are "The DeVille's Workshop". Now you can say you've met The DeVille Himself... pleased to meet you!The DeVille.
