Wake Up by Coheed And CambriaUc metC..Coheed and Cambria -
This is one of my favourtie clips due to James Brown's dancing in parts. I didn't manage to get the full songs as I never knew how much space there was on my phone.Starts off with James Brown commenting on how good his (Bobby byrd style) male backup singer R.J looked tonight, and then offers a handshake before getting into Soul Power. I love the dancing at 40 seconds ('Then you know, where im coming from.').He moves perfectly with the beat of the song. And when he changes the tune to a break beat rhythm and then nudges the Soul G's back to Soul Power was something that is just a small part of the tight, organised fashion of James Brown and his Band as a whole. In Soul Man, again James Brown was on fire. He always does different moves when r.j calls his name but here he showed off alot of his trademarks. From the mashed potatoes to the Camel Walk to the Robot to the One leg shuffle, I got a glimpse of how good a dancer this man is and how he innovated and encompassed his rhythm into the dancing he performed.Just like Michael Jackson once stated,' You have to become the music and become the instruments you hear when dancing.' I think this is shown when he comes back for a encore and does some more mash potatoes and then more of a seemingly freestyled move with his arms, but moving in unison to the beat heard in the background. And he is 72 at this point in his life.He always had an amazingly natural rhythm when dancing and I guess that never leaves you.
