Uther is a new Finnish band which only recently started gaining its rightfully deserved exposure. Unlike other young bands, trying to copy or follow certain sound, Uther sets its own -not exactly clear- tone. Its four members are all in fact classically educated and hold an impressive record of notable performances, yet they choose to leave all their knowledge and experience behind and try their luck as a rock band, playing instruments they have never played before. The band formed as a part of an experiment. The trigger for this outstanding merger was actually the innocent question: can a cellist play drums?While this is only a technicality the more intriguing question is: is creativity alone enough?
