The Golden Girls - It deals with real issues - the Golden Girls are not glamourous, they are not super rich, they are not super skinny, they do not strive to be a size zero - and most importantly what the series shows is the importance of friendship between females - nowadays it seems as if the media portrays the 'average' woman as being thin, very attractive, huge boobs, and would be willing to do anything in pursuit of her goals even if it means risking friendship - think about all of the top tv series - would you like to have any of those females as your friend?
