Description of "'72 World Championship"
Just a selection of interviews/photos of the Championship and Fischer's life. It's pretty one-sided. If you want to know about Fischer's other side, theory about Jews, the crap he says about everybody, then just go to Google and type fischer. I'm more interested in what he did to become a household name.I didn't really put in anything about Spassky but in case you don't know, he's a brilliant player, even for a world champion. He was a prodigy from a very young age and was one of the very few to continue into adulthood. When Bobby beat him by four points, after starting with a 2 point deficit, it was an unbelievable end even after what he did to get there. Probably why after 35 years of Fischer's horrendous behavior, not playing in a single tournament, and all the chess geniuses that have followed...Anand, Kasparov, Kamsky, Radjabov, Carlsen... still the most heated and popular topic in the company of chess players is "Where is Bobby Fischer?"
