Chapter 820 minutes later, Kevin, Nick, Joe, Julie, and Mr. Jonas arrived at the hospital. The ambulance was already there. The paramedics brought Frankie inside with his mother. Everyone followed except Julie. Julie: I'll be right in. Just let me call my mom first.So, she got out her cell phone and stood in the sun to get warm (she was still wet). She dialed her mom and she picked up right away. "Hello?" her mom said.Julie: Hey mom.Mom: Hey honey, where are you? I saw the note saying that you were next door, but it looks like no one's home.Julie: Yeah, well, no one is. We're at the hospital.Mom: Oh my gosh! Are you okay?Julie: Yeah, I'm fine, but Frankie almost drowned.Mom: Oh my, is he okay? Wait, who's Frankie?Julie: Frankie is Kevin, Nick, and Joe Jonas's little brother. He's fine, but they want to be sure.Mom: And who are Kevin, Nick, and Joe?Julie: Really awesome guys I met at Pinkberry. They're all brothers and don't worry mom, we're just friends.Mom: Good, but why are you at the hospital with boys you just met a couple of hours ago?Julie: I don't know. Nick invited me. He said it would make Frankie happy and I think he likes me.Mom: Nick!?Julie: No, Frankie! He's the coolest seven-year-old and I want to make him happy.Mom: Awww, okay, will you be home for dinner?Julie: I don't know. I'll try, I guess.Mom: Well, if the Jonases want to feed you, let them. Saves me work.Julie: Gee, thanks mom.Mom: Just call me to tell me what's going on.Julie: K, talk to you later, bye.Julie hung up and began to walk inside when her phone rang in her hand. She was about to turn it off, but looked at the caller ID anyway. It read, 'Nat Calling' and showed his picture. "Wow," Julie said to herself, "after a month I still have that ug in my phonebook."She declined the call, turned off her cell, and walked inside.Julie went up to the front desk and asked what room Frankie Jonas was in. Cranky Receptionist: Relation?Julie: I'm his sister, uh, Julie Jonas.Cranky Receptionist: Proceed to room 4.Julie: Thanks.Julie walked to room four without looking back. She was afraid that the receptionist would attack her if she did.When she got into room 4, she stepped right beside Nick. She looked at Frankie who was asleep in his bed. "So how is he?" she asked, spooking Nick who didn't realize she was next to him. Nick [looking at Julie]: When did you get here? How did you get here? I thought they only let family visit.Julie: Just now, I walked, and I know they only let family visit from watching Gilmore Girls. Like in the episode where Asher got sick and Paris...She trailed off when she saw the blank expression on Nick's face. Julie: Anyway, I just told the scary-looking receptionist that I was Frankie's sister and she just told me to come here. Hospital security has really gone down the tubes.Nick snapped out of his lost-look.Nick: Uh, yeah, and Frankie's doing fine. The doctor just came in and said he could go home when he wakes up. He also said that we should be grateful of his life-saver.He smiled and leaned toward Julie.Julie: You can be grateful by letting me stay for dinner because knowing my mom, she's probably making her famous Mystery Meat. And when I say 'mystery' I'm not kidding.She and Nick laughed.Nick: Sure, I'm sure my mom can make you a 'hero sandwich'.Julie: Wow that was some lame pun you had there. But it was very clever.They turned back to Frankie and Julie started rubbing her shoulders. Julie: Geeze, it's really cold in here.She said it out loud to no one in particular. Nick looked down at the white sweatshirt he had on and smiled. He took it off, showing a damp under-shirt, and handed it to Julie.Nick: Here, you can wear it, you know, to stay warm.Julie took the hoodie and put it on. It was so warm and soft. "Thanks." She said, smiling. She then discretely sunk her head into the sweatshirt a little bit, to where her nose was covered. She took a breath and thought in her head, "Mmmm. It smells like Nick."
