Unfurtunately only a very short film clip of the Dutch Swing College Band in 1950. This is probably the band inspiring me most to start playing jazz myself. As a 15 year old I went to dance lessons. On the final night of the course of danceschool Martin there was an evening in a large hall called Concordia in Bussum, Holland. The featured bands were the band of Malando for the tango and rumba dances and the Orchestra of the Dutch Swing College, as the band was then officially called. The sound of this clip reflects exactly how I remember this great band.
