Incredibly short and expensive ride. 500 baht and the entire trip is covered in this video, about one minute 15 seconds. There are two parasailing operators in Pattaya bay. Mr. Chang and Songkolod. They operate from barges that are anchored off shore. You get to one of the barges via jet ski or power boat. After it was all over, the beach-hustlers that took me out to the barge on their power-boat asked me to pay them, on top of the 500 baht I had just paid the parasailing operator. Since I felt they should have negotiated this beforehand, I told them to go to hell. They can go collect their share from the parasailing operator. Total ripoff, stay away. Mr. Chang's wouldn't let me take the camera aloft. Had to badger the Songkolod people to let me do it. They reluctantly agreed since they had no customers. They were afraid I would blame them if the camera got lost. Used a Sanyo VPC-HD2 purchased from the States with a Japanese-made housing purchased in Singapore.
